There comes a point in the season where winning is a matter of pride. The better teams separate from the rest of the pack while the teams with considerably less talent fight for a win.

After Saturday's embarrassing loss to Navy, Stanford has become a team that is playing for pride. Not to say that the Cardinal should just give up, but a loss to Navy forces somebody to be honest with themselves.
