May 20, 2012

It was a big day down in Oakland, California and a high percentage of the Nation's best QB talent was in town for the Elite 11 Quarterback Camp.  In the end a total of 11 QB's will be selected to attend the Elite 11 later this year.  And making the trip amongst the dozens attending were three Washington Natives.

WashingtonPreps.com has the coverage for you and the Rivals.com National Analysts were in the house.  In the end the Washington boys rocked the house.

The #1 rating of the weekend went to Max Browne.  What can you say?  The kid impresses every coach and very analyst wherever he goes.  Simply amazing.  Our Adam Gorney had this to say.

1. MAX BROWNE, SAMMAMISH (WASH.) SKYLINE
The USC commit had another outstanding day and showed why he's the top-rated pro-style quarterback in the 2013 class. Browne has all the tools to be a special player at the next level and possibly beyond since the five-star has great technique, an impressively strong arm and fantastic precision. Browne lofted a lot of passes at this event and did not show off all his abilities but he was still arguably the top quarterback in attendance. At last year's Stanford Elite 11 and the Washington NIKE Camp, Browne had more dominant performances but he's still so sharp it's hard to believe any quarterback out there is better.

Isaac Dotson, Newport HS, 2013:  Isaac wowed the analysts with his speed, footwork, ability to run, and the way he spun on target into the blowing winds.  This was a break out day for him.

He left Oakland with the phones ringing all over the West Coast potentially.  His first offer from just came in from Montana and yet the other top performers are either committed or swimmimg in offers.  We look for the 6'3" 215 pound talent to have a couple of big weeks ahead.  WSU and OSU are close from our inside reports.  Time for the NW schools to make a move or he could head out of State like his counter part Browne.

Sefo Liufau, Bellarmine Prep 2013: Sefo impresses anywhere he goes.  And he did it again today being named as one of the stand outs in the bunch.  This is such a terrific athlete with a 6'4" 220 pound body that can carry him a long way into the future.  He is pledged to Colorado and firm in that.  That will not stop offers from coming in.

Other top Washington QB Kolney Cassel was off at the FBU Camp where he has been a top performer in past years.  He holds an offer from SMU. The Eisenhower HS (Yakima) gun slinger has a lot of schools looking at him and has a very busy schedule indeed in the months ahead.

This group and others represent the best class of QB's in recent memory in the Evergreen State.  That is 4 Division 1 Top Rated QB's and the 2012 Season has not even begun.  Truly remarkable!  We will keep you informed of course as always all Summer and congratulate these guys on representing our State so very well.
