With the skies threatening and almost 2 hours before camp started today at Mercer Island the lines were already forming.  We arrived with our staff 90 minutes early and never got set up before we had to get busy.  The NW ELITE FOOTBALL CAMP hit Mercer Island High School like a Tsunami and while things looked ominous in the beginning they quickly changed for the better.

Camp started right on time more or less and just as the last kid rolled in the ranks hit 700 Campers.  The Coaches from all 17 Colleges and Universities made it too.  The skies cleared and the camp broke loose crowding all four fields and boy did we see some action.  Now it was a whirlwind trip for us and it is 2:21 AM here in Portland as I write this post.  And the SPARQ COMBINE starts in 6 hours.  So I will make it brief.

The kids shined.  They really did.  Top recruits mixed with first time campers and all were smiling… and sweating too.  Some new stars were found for sure and some known talents got their first offers.  As camp ended we had reports from 7 athletes that they had been offered verbally after the conclusion of the camp.  Many more of these kids got an invite to come to a college camp or showcase and before the final chapter is closed on this book we expect many more of these athletes to find a home.

Isaiah Brandt-Sims of Wenatchee was offered by Wyoming at Camp and Jake Gall of Cle-Elum was offered at Camp by PSU!  And there were many others too!

Here is a sampling of some of the best moments and kids but hundreds more pics and analysis are going to come!  Congrats to all the kids and thanks to the Coaches and Staff and Mercer Island High School for making this Camp possible!
