Having not seen Liberty play, and only Lakes vs. Mt. Spokane last week, I can't say I'm too surprised by the Liberty win.
What stood out to me about Lakes is they had a ton of stud players, but did not have a good TEAM. Seemed to be too much "Look at me" stuff and not enough about the team. Also, was not impressed with the QB play; at this level, you better have a top flight QB calling the shots. I can't recall anything special at all about the Lakes QB.

It was a pretty close game though, with only a difference of 4 points. But, I didn't see the game so I wouldn't know much about how it went down.

I was at the game which came down to the fourth quarter, a quarter dominated by Liberty. The last play of the 3rd quarter Liberty hit a big pass play and as the teams went to the sidelines many of the Lakes players body language was not good the coaches seemed to be trying to communicate that they were still up 14-0 but it didn't seem to register. I don't know much about lakes but just looking at scores thie year it seems like they haven't had to play late into games because of dominating teams. Last Friday was a 4 quarter game and Lakes was able to go 3. At the end of the game several Lakes players left the field before shaking hands, a coach went after them to get them back on the field and only one #25 returned, obviously the players were upset but there is no excuse for the poor sportsmanship after such a hard fought game.
