In Washington once the 35 point differential has been reached the clock will run except for the 3 exceptions. Time out, score, or injury. It will not return back to the regular timing rules. Many Officials will still use the same mechanics and give the normal signals. The reason is it becomes habit, and it is easier/better to keep doing it. In our Assoc, we ask the timer to come to the locker room during the pre game. That way we can let him know how we handle this, and answer any questions he might have. Many do it every game, some do it the first couple. I would suggest you do that at least a couple games each year to let you know how the Assoc will handle certain situations. It also talks about it in the manuals. Hope this clears it up for you. If not let me know and I will try to answer anyohter questions.
