Could Mattingly Change OU's Fortune?

Over the past few months when Oklahoma pursued Max Browne out of the state of Washington many said that pulling him away from the west coast would be a near impossible task. And while the Sooners gave it a real run, it turned out the pundits had it right as the Sooners watched Browne select USC earlier this month.
And with the loss of Browne, and last year's five-star offensive tackle Zach Banner to the very same Trojans it would be easy to envision the Sooner staff getting a bit gun shy in The Evergreen State.
However, don't look for that to happen as the Sooners have already taken another dive into the state, this time looking on the opposite side of Washington and offering Spokane Mead three-star tight end Danny Mattingly. It would seem the offer wasn't without merit as Mattingly admits he feels quite differently than some of his fellow native sons.
