The defending champion Skyline Spartans at 13-0 are set to go to battle with the Bellarmine Prep Lions who sit at 12-1 for the big school 4A state football championship on Saturday night at the Tacoma Dome.
The mighty Spartans will ride their All-American quarterback Max Browne.  The 6’5” 220 pound senior USC commit caught fire in their semi-final win over Camas. In the 51-28 shootout win Browne hit on 29 of 32 tosses for 387 yards and 4 touchdowns.  On the season young Mr. Browne has put up some astronomical numbers.  The rifleman has completed 73% of his passes for 4,142 yards and 45 touchdowns, with only 4 interceptions. He is only 9 yards shy of the state’s all-time passing mark.
Browne has a plethora of receivers at his disposal led by D-1 Talent 6’0” 190 pound senior Nic Sblendorio, who has 1,058 yards and 12 scores catching the rock this year.  Senior Trevor Barney, a 5’9” 175 pound rocket, has hauled in 38 passes and 12 touchdowns this season. 6’2” 190 pound senior Andrew Giese has 781 yards receiving to go with 6 scores. Fellow senior Matt Sinatro, a sticky fingered wideout, has added another 718 yards receiving and 8 more touchdowns.

Max Browne Will set records on his Way to USC this weekend and he hopes to grab another Gold Championship Ball!

The mighty Spartans can do the dirty work on the ground as well.  Senior blazer Cedric Cooper, at 5’10” 170 pounds has zipped his way for 879 yards on the ground to go with 11 scores.  The big hogs up front are paced by all-leaguers Eric Wagner and bulldozer Reggie Long.
The Spartans defense is led into war by senior WSU commit Peyton Pelluer, a big bopping 6’2” 235 pounder, who has missed some time this season with injury.  Smash mouth linebacker Blake Young, a 5’11” 185 pound Senior, was the Kingco Crown co-defensive player of the year.  Cooper and Barney are both lock down corners and Sblendorio is a 2-time all league safety.
The Lions are paced as well by their Division 1 quarterback in Sefo Liufau, a Colorado commit.  The 6’4” 230 pound fireballer has thrown for 2,145 yards and 21 touchdowns on the season.   He has added another 8 touchdowns rushing.
In the Leos hard fought 21-19 semi-final victory over Auburn, the Bellarmine crew rode the running of junior scat-back sweet Lou Millie.
Millie, a hard nosed 5’10” 195 pound junior, has rumbled for 1495 yards and 13 scores on the campaign.  He is also the #2 tackler on the ball club from his linebacker slot.
Liufau’s favorite target through the airways is Garrett McKay, a nimble 5’9” 165 pound junior,  who has reeled in 63 balls good for 880 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Sefo Liufau is heading to Colorado next season to be the teams new QB.The big boys up front for Bellarmine are led by bone crushing defensive lineman Nick Dionas, a 6’0” 215 pound Junior, Senior road grader Matt McDougal who is a 6’2” 290 pounder and fellow Senior Macartney McQuery at 6’3” 300 pounds lead a talented offensive line for the Leos.
We wish both Squads a very safe and very successful end to this amazing 2012.  Getting to the Dome is awesome and it is really amazing to see these two teams each led by Future Pac 12 QB's going at it in the Final!
