Washington Duo Gain Major Offer From Pac 12 School

MORE BREAKING NEWS FROM WASHINGTON PREPS. Two of Washington's Best broke through with big time Pac 12 offers tonight. Who was it? Find out right here.
While he is known around Kings High School in Seattle he is not a household name. But Mason Friedline saw all of that change a little while ago when the Colorado Buffalos called him to make him a scholarship offer. The 6'5"-270 Pound athlete was excited after this one as he did not see it coming.

"My first offer came in from a Pac-12 school and Colorado too. What an honor to have them offer," said Friedline. "I am very excited to say the least."
The big offensive linemen had a nice showing earlier this season at the Army All American Combine and carried that momentum forward being named as one of the Top Offensive Linemen in the State by WashingtonPreps.com and Rivals.com.
What does he know about the Buffs?
"I know they are in a beautiful city and that they are in the Pac 12. That is about it. But I will be definitely trying to get to their Junior Day and Spring Game in April," said Friedline who called Coach Marshall today at Colorado who laid out the offer.
He continued,"Most schools want me as a Center or Guard but he said I might be a Tackle in their Pro style offense which was cool. I can play any of those positions so I am just happy to have the chance."
Next up could be the Huskies of the UW. He has a meeting scheduled with 3 of the staff there Friday to go over where he stands with them. The scholarly athlete is being recruited by a wide array of schools and most of the Ivy League too. Utah, Cal, and Arizona State have been turning up the heat of late as well.
One thing for sure is a kid should be excited when he over night gains a Pac 12 offer. That is major!
Not long after that call came in we got another. [/db]Tere Calloway[/db] of Seattle Prep nailed his second offer and the Buffalos struck again on a Seattle talent.
"I just got off the phone with Coach Mike Tuaisasopo. Basically he said that they saw my film, loved it, and that he was making me an offer to play for them," said Calloway matter of factly.
The 6'0"-195 pound bruiser is a gifted Safety or Running back and he said he may be able to play either at Colorado but that he will know more tomorrow.
"They surprised me with this one you know. I have never spoken to them but it is a big deal. Pac 12 schools are high on my list so you know I will be looking at this one."
His Summer is filling up and he just got back from WSU where he was one of 3 or 4 guys who was asked to do some 1-1 time with Coach Mike Leach. Something he very much enjoyed.
Calloway added, "Coach is very good to talk too. He explained their offense, spoke to me about the success he has had putting guys in the NFL, and his vision for the team. They are on the right track there for sure."
He was told he would be looked at as a Safety, Running Back, or other positions too when WSU gets down to deciding on him.
"Right now things have heated up. I have Purdue and Colorado and I feel like UCLA, WSU, OSU and some others are getting closer. This is how I dreamed it could go and with a good performance at Summer camps I should have some other schools to choose from."
Both of these kids are Top 10 kids on the WashingtonPreps.com list of players to watch in Washington this season.
It should be a whole lot of fun for them and all of us too as we take the annual wild ride that is High School Football recruitment.
