J.J. Garza- Toppenish
Kyle Johnson-
Lakeside
Tony Farrington- Orting
Jake Luczynski- Cascade
Tyler Gateman –Vashon
Matt Garza- Othello
There are lots of talented wrestlers
here. The CWAC has at least six state quality wrestlers.
112:
Kellan
Hopkins-
East
Valley
Conrad Garza- Othello
Brandon Ashley- Kiona Benton
Robert Spackman- Riverside
Colton Steagall- Mt Baker
Travis Draper- Ridgefield
It's the CWAC again at 112 with
three returning state placers.
119:
Brandon Monteith- Mt Baker
Eddie Bush- Chelan
Nic Ruff- Cascade
Brett
Anschutz-
Castle Rock
Don Cantu- Othello
Ignacio Castaneda- Toppenish
Monteith has been strong most of the
year and is a very tough wrestler. He has a history of winning close matches.
125:
J.D. Goodrich- Stevenson
Levi Jones- Lakeside
Scott
Thompson-
East
Valley
Dallas
Hirtz- Ephrata
Bryan Bosch- Lacenter
Brandon Weide- Mt Baker
This should be a great weight at
state. The top three are even really.
130:
Zack Brissey- Ephrata
Edgar Mendez- Connell
Anthony Heffernan- Orting
Daniel Curella- Elma
Aaron Anderson-
Deer Park
Kameron
Hopkins-
East
Valley
Brissey has been good all year. He
still has a couple of matches with Mendez left before state.
135:
Bradley Muri- Steilacoom
Phil Ontiveros- Othello
Steven Gilles- Lakewood
Mark Ouradnik-Ephrata
Justin Christman- Lakeside
Jackson Edens- Hoquiam
Muri may be too much for everyone
here.
140:
Torrin Bradburry- Montesano
David
Snyder-
Medical
Lake
Freddie Flores- Othello
Aaron Carr- Lacenter
Joe
Frazier-
Naches
Valley
Cakvin Moore- Blaine
Bradbury has already defeated 3rd
ranked
Flores.
145:
Keith
Johnson-
Port Townsend
Justin Eastman-
Rochester
Jr Gonzales- Kiona Benton
Jullian Perine- Hoquiam
Adam Orozco- Connell
Matt Dinsmore- Lakeside
I may be a bit biased in that I have
seen Johnson over the last four years.
152:
Brad
Groce-
Medical
Lake
Lukas Wolfe- Chelan
David Rae- Connell
Sloan
Gutierrez-
Port Townsend
Jake Horsman- Mt Baker
John Quintrell- Woodland
I may have both Rae and Gutierrez
ranked too low.
160:
Jon Millard- Lakeside
Spencer Sharpe- Hoquiam
Travis Southwick- Medical lake
Todd
Ferguson-
Naches
Valley
Brent Collier- Klahowya
Santana Echavarria- Quincy
Millard still looks to be the
standout here.
171:
Tony Smith- Lakeside
Jake Walter- Omak
Cory Creighton- Stevenson
Nathan
Vanderven-
Port Townsend
Andy Hedman- Klahowya
Jessie Newberry- Cashmere
The same goes with Smith. Smith and
Millard make
Lakeside a very tough team to beat at state.
189:
Tony Lee- Connell
Gabe Warren- Rochester
Jerid Sturman-Camyn- Klahowya
Ben Niccum- Cashmere
Gerrett
Raulston-
Medical
Lake
Blayne Brandenberger- Blaine
I've changed the rankings on this
weight every week. My guess is that I will do it again.
215:
Dan Worley- Cashmere
Chase Hodge- Chelan
David Hopkins-
Rochester
Eric Burrows- Chewelah
Tim Gaston-Lacenter
Michael Katzer- Hoquiam
I haven't seen many results for
Burrows so I could have him a bit low.
275:
Jake Byl- Omak
Alex King- Steilacoom
Ricky Hall- Colville
Josh
Helm-
Medical
Lake
Andrew Morales- Grandview
Lucas Romero-Elma
Both Byl and King are still
undefeated.
Teams
Favorite:
Lakeside- They still look to be the top team in 2a.
Challengers:
Medical
Lake- The
toughness of the region will hurt them.
Mt Baker- They just keep getting strong as the year goes on.
Connell- The key will be a strong regional performance.
Rochester- They may not have the numbers but can score a lot of points.
Ephrata- Like everyone from this region it will come down to that final
tournament before state.
Good Teams:
Hoquiam- They are fast improving. They took the Rainshadow.
Othello- They have a bunch of tough wrestlers in the lower weights.
