The young Bothell Cougars are having a rough time winning ball games this season, but in their defense they have lost a ton of close ones. The Cougars do have the Kingco conference's top scorer in super sophomore sensation Zach Lavine.

Zach, a lightning bolt 6'0" 155 pound point guard, is shredding it up at 26.1 points per
ball game this season.
Lavine basically had his coming out party at the King Holiday Hoopfest in Seattle's Hec Edmunson Pavilion.
Lavine and his 'soft as church music' shot torched the Decatur crew for 39 points, 4 assists and 2 steals.
The Gators and their standout Jerron Smith did beat Bothell 73-64. The exhilarating sophomore made a variety of nice shots, including a rim rattling 2 handed breakaway dunk off a nifty steal.
The cheetah quick Lavine can play either guard position for the Cougs.
With help from junior guard Prince Lacey, who is ripping it up at 12 points per game, the
Cougars future is looking brighter.
Half of Bothell's varsity hoop team is underclassmen as well. When you have a slick high riser like Lavine leading the charge for
you, good things will eventually happen.
The young speed demon is starting to get some serious recruiting interest as well.
Letters are starting to pour in for this young gun's services.
Lavine already has offers from Portland State University, University of San Francisco and the University of San Diego.
Not bad for a young sophomore just getting his feet wet in the varsity hardwood battles.
We want to wish Zach Lavine the best of luck on his basketball career and will keep you all updated as he continues to progress.
